The Indian Embassy presents a collection of various books to the USAL Library

The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon received India’s Ambassador to Lebanon Noor Rahman Sheikh in the Chairman’s office. The meeting was attended by a delegation from the embassy that included India’s Chargé d’affaires Shri Sandeep Grover and Second Secretary Hemant Gautam. On the university’s side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman for Students’ Affairs Dr. Nasri Harb, Deputy Chairman for Administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Yasser Fadlallah, and Deputy Chairman for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmad Fadlallah. The attendees discussed the cultural and educational affairs related to Lebanon in general, and to the university in particular.
His Excellency, the Ambassador, toured the university’s library and checked its departments, rich books and publications. He then offered the university’s library a group of various cultural books.
The attendees emphasized the importance of cultural cognitive diversity, the necessity of fostering reading and preserving the values of heritage, and the role of students in this process. His Excellency affirmed continuing to cooperate with the university, which will be fruitful in all educational and cultural fields. The university also thanked the ambassador for following up the educational and cultural affairs, and appreciated his visit.
