The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon is committed to providing the society with resources and competencies that satisfy the needs of its institutions. Therefore, it sought to build academic international partnerships that contribute to enhancing its students’ proficiency in practice, and achieving integration between the educational curricula it adopts and the actual needs of the labor market.
The University has also signed several cooperation agreements with local community institutions, based on its commitment to play an integral and effective role in advancing its social environment in different fields, and employing all of its potentials and capabilities for that purpose.
The University signed a partnership agreement with the world’s leading company in the filed of networking, CISCO, under which USAL CISCO Networking Academy was established at the University.
USAL CISCO Networking Academy provides students with the opportunity for training in the field of advanced network technologies, and gaining a globally recognized certificate. CISCO’s academic programs provide students with 21st century skills, such as collaborative work, problem solving and self-learning, through practical activities simulating real-life tasks, and increase their chances in gaining jobs in major international companies and institutions in the fields of information technology and communication.
USAL signed a partnership agreement with ORACLE, which is one of the leading companies in the field of Information Technology Systems, under which USAL ORACLE Academy was established.
The academy introduces programs that provide global computing education, allowing students to access several resources in the fields of teaching and research, and developing their skills in using IT programs adopted in many modern industries. This academy also allows students to gain the globally recognized ORACLE certificate.
ORACLE Academy also provides training programs for IT teachers, for the purpose of reinforcing life-long learning in the field of computer sciences, and to help teachers stay up-to-date in the world of information technology.
USAL signed a partnership agreement with Integrated Digital Systems, a local company specialized in digital systems, under which the two parties agreed to mutual cooperation in preparing scientific researches in the filed of information technology, developing academic programs and providing students with vocational training in order to increase their efficiency and qualify them to face the challenges of the labour market.
A partnership agreement was signed between USAL and EC_COUNCIL, a cybersecurity certification, education, training, and services company.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed a cooperation agreement with Burj Al Barajenh Social and Health Centre, which aims at promoting cooperation in the field of training Nursing students, providing them with the necessary techniques to ensure their success in the labour market.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed a cooperation agreement with Al Bihar Social and Health Centre which included several articles for cooperation. This agreement emphasizes the exchange of expertise and capabilities in areas of training Nursing students, and promote their role in community service.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed a cooperation agreement with Muaisrah Health Center, which included several articles for cooperation, with the aim of exchanging expertise in the field of Nursing, and providing consultations in the areas of experience and capabilities of both parties to the agreement. Both parties agreed to bring together their efforts to hold seminars, conferences and workshops for the interest of students.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed a cooperation agreement with Al Taakhi Medical Centre, providing Nursing students with the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of employees in the centre, allowing them to undergo the necessary training in different affiliated institutions and facilities. The centre, under this agreement, shall provide students with consultation services in its areas of expertise and capabilities, and assist them throughout their graduation projects.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed a cooperation agreement with Al Mabarrat Charitable Association Health Centres to benefit from their capabilities in training Nursing students. Under this agreement, all expertise shall be employed with the aim of providing students with the necessary skills and capabilities to ensure their distinction in the labour market. The agreement aims at strengthening the relationship between USAL and the different health centres.
The health centres parties to this agreement are:
- Al Abbass Social and Health Centre – Yatar, South Lebanon.
- Imam Hussain Social and Health Centre – Jalala, Beqaa.
- Sayeda Fatima Al Zahraa Social and Health Centre (Dar Al Aman Geriatric Hospital) – Al Abbasiyya, South Lebanon.
- Sayeda Zaynab Social and Health Centre – Jouaiya, South Lebanon.
- Dar Al Ra’fa Social and Health Centre – Bint Jbeil, South Lebanon.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon signed an agreement with Mr. Mohammed Khalil Dagher to benefit from “Dr. Khalil Dagher Scholarship Program” which targets university students. This agreement is driven by the values adopted by the university, and comes in conformity with the mission set by the mother institution, Al Mabarrat Charitable Association, inspired by its founder, the late Religious Authority Sayyid Muhammad Hussain Fadlallah.
This program aims at helping distinguished yet financially incapable students to continue their studies in different specialties at the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon, and providing the society with competent and promising graduates who will enter the labour market with the goal of the advancement of the society and overcoming current and future crises.
The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon and Al Mabarrat Association Alumni have agreed to promote means of cooperation between the two parties, for the interest of graduates by holding gatherings, workshops and seminars, and organizing joint meetings, guiding students within the labour market, and enabling them to choose the right careers. This agreement also assists graduates in their search for jobs.
