Experts in the Media Field: Rwaida Safadi and Caroline Bazzi share their experience in program preparation

Students of the course Radio and Television Program Writing hosted journalists Rwaida Safadi and Caroline Bazzi at university campus to speak at a seminar entitled “Television Preparation: Experiences and Skills,
The event which supervised by professor Laila Shams El Din was attended by the President of the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon Dr. Mohammad Reda Fadlallah, the Head of Media Department Mr. Farouq Rizk, professors and students.
The talk focused on the experiences of both guests in various local, Arab and international media outlets and on the determinants and constants in the media field. In addition, the guests spoke of the importance of adopting credibility, objectivity and accuracy in the transfer of events through programs of all kinds, with emphasis on methods of identifying sources, within the social programs, and adopting the means required to deal with them such as trust, mutual respect, and work ethics. The keys to success in the media field were also discussed.
Attending students were given the opportunity to ask their questions and enrich the meeting. The two journalists expressed their happiness with this unique experience within the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon. The meeting lasted for two hours, and included the distribution of shields from the President of the University to the two guests.
Both Guests have had vast experience in several fields. Rwaida Safadi has been working for more than 10 years in news departments and the writing and production of social television talk shows in a number of local, Arab and international media outlets, including MBC and France 24. Ms. Bazzi’s experience and skills acquired over the past ten years have been various through her work as a producer of programs in the fields of television, radio, print media and electronic media in Lebanon and other Arab countries.
