Distributing Awards for the World Day of Arabic Language Competition

The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) held a celebration on the International Day of the Arabic Language, which falls on December 18 of every year. This day was designated by the United Nations for the celebration of the Arabic Language as one of its six recognized languages.
Based on the belief of USAL in the development and teaching of Arabic language, and its understanding of the importance of developing expressive abilities and improving written communication skills in classical Arabic language and encouraging creative writing, the Faculty of Education at the University organized a competition. The competitors presented works under several categories, namely, Arabic dictation, short story, poetry, emotional prose, and objective essay writing.
The following students were the winners: Israa Ayoub, Israa Khansa, Alaa Amin, Somia Khalaf, Zahraa Al-Moussawi, and Nargis Al-Gawhari. The University President Dr. Mohammad Reda Fadlallah, and the Dean of the Faculty of Education Dr. Walid Hammoud distributed prizes to the winners.
