As part of cementing ties between USAL and the local community, which includes municipalities, and based on the university’s belief in the necessity of joining efforts and cooperating to present services that contribute to the development of a cognitive society, capable of building individuals who have qualifications and capabilities to confront the surrounding challenges, USAL signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Mreijeh, Tahwitat Al-Ghadeer, and Al-Laylaki, which meets the university’s tendencies.

The agreement was signed by University President Dr. Mohammad Rida Fadlallah representing the university, and mayor Mr. Samir Bou Khalil, represented by his deputy, Mr. Beshara Al-Khoury, as a representative of the municipality. The two parties stressed the importance of joint cooperation to boost social service and actual participation in developing the social surrounding environment, as well as employing the capabilities and potentials of both sides to offer services that contribute to developing the society in different fields.

The agreement aims at boosting cooperation, exchanging expertise in the field of training and developing skills, working to present instructive and scientific seminars, conferences, and workshops.

The two parties finally laid emphasis on the necessity of putting this agreement into effect for the best interest of the local community and the development of the social surrounding environment.
